Learn More About Dr. Sierra Bouchard

Dr. Bouchard grew up in Ballston Spa, spending many of her early years volunteering with the local animal shelter, playing (the only) viola in her high school orchestra, and spending her free time in various dance classes. She pursued her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Dance Studies at SUNY Geneseo. She then attended Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine to fulfill her dream of becoming a veterinarian, while continuing to maintain a healthy school-life balance as a member of the Cornell Vet Dance Collective.

Dr. Bouchard’s initial focus in feline specialty medicine brought her back to the Capital Region, and there she developed further interests in holistic medicine. After 2 years of working in a cat-only clinic, Dr. Bouchard expanded to treating dogs as well, and completed her Certification in Veterinary Natural Nutrition (CVNN) in March of 2025. She continues to regularly pursue continuing education in Nutrition, Western Herbal Medicine, and the gut microbiome. In addition to her holistic pursuits, Dr. Bouchard has a strong clinical interest in surgery, internal medicine, and ultrasound as an imaging modality.

Dr. Bouchard now lives in Schenectady with her husband Scott, their two dogs Samson and Delilah, and three cats Maya, Bastian, and Zelda. In her free time, Dr. Bouchard enjoys pottery, hiking, and yoga.
