DVM
Dr. Rocco grew up in one of the many small towns nestled at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains before attending the University of New Haven for her undergraduate studies. From there, Dr. Rocco attended Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, where she obtained her doctorate degree. After veterinary school, she spent time in the corporate sector before joining private practice with Aqueduct Animal Hospital. While her initial veterinary interests focused on cardiology, they’ve broadened to include fields from preventative medicine to pain management, disaster medicine to veterinary forensics, and many areas in between. Dr. Rocco is a Fear Free certified professional, and strives to promote client education and collaboration when providing quality care to her patients. She also volunteers with SCRUFF, a local TNVR program for stray cats.
In her free time, Dr. Rocco enjoys reading, writing, attending shows at Proctor’s Theatre, spending time with her family and friends, and hopes one day to add travelling to this list. She also enjoys walking nature trails, and, when she finally remembers to get herself to a sporting goods store to upgrade her gear, rollerblading along local stretches of the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail.
